Let’s Clear Something Up
Years ago, before I joined my previous company, my husband’s immediate reaction to my interest in network marketing was, “That’s a pyramid scheme.” His knee-jerk response stopped me in my tracks, and I hesitated to take the leap. However, everything changed when he witnessed the transformation within me.
A Transformation Worth Noticing
It wasn’t long before he saw the real impact of this journey on my life. I began to prioritize my health, gain newfound confidence, and build a community that supported my personal and professional growth. Alongside these changes, I was able to bring in a supplemental income that made a real difference for our family. This wasn’t just about business—it was about enhancing our overall health and wellbeing. When my previous company discontinued its multi-level marketing business model, he was the first person to tell me, “Go for it,” when I was considering joining a different online wellness brand.
Questioning the Double Standard
If you’re still skeptical about online businesses, here’s something to consider:
• Research vs. Assumption: Do you research the pay structure, ethical practices, or sourcing details of every brand you buy from?
• Everyday Choices: When you walk into Target, Costco, or GNC, do you question how they treat their employees or where their products are manufactured? Chances are, you trust the reputation of these brands without diving deep into every detail.
• Consistency in Scrutiny: So why do we often hold network marketing companies to a higher standard, dismissing them as scams when they provide quality products and genuine opportunities for growth?
Embracing What Works
The truth is, many online businesses—and yes, even network marketing companies—offer high-quality products and foster loyal communities. Their ambassadors wouldn’t stick around if the products or business model didn’t align with their values. The personal experiences, both mine and countless others, show that these companies can be a force for good: promoting health, offering flexible income opportunities, and building supportive networks.
Let’s Stop the Unnecessary Hate
Supporting someone in their online business isn’t about endorsing a sca—it’s about supporting a person, a family, and a dream. When you see passion, dedication, and real transformation, perhaps it’s time to rethink the labels we casually throw around. If the products are amazing and the person sharing them is genuinely passionate, what’s the harm in giving it a chance?
Food for thought.
